Which counties require a certificate of conformity?
The following countries require a certificate of conformity on selected imports:
Algeria, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gulf Cooperation Council, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria (According to Standards Organisation of Nigeria Conformity Assessment Program), Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Togo and Zimbabwe.

Generally speaking, countries rely on institutions like Port Health or the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) to ensure that imported goods entering their borders are of a safe and appropriate standard.
